Nobi Radio
A peculiar radio which grows larger as volume increases. Informed by Japanese aesthetics and object culture, Nobi is derived from 'nobiru,' the Japanese word for stretch.
Fog of War
A board game designed with Vivian Wang and Tracy Chou. The concept of "fog of war" drove our innovation of a creative new gameboard and user interaction. The game starts with the board tiles smoked-side up, and the player's flip them with each move, thereby "exploring" the terrain before them. The terrain persists and affects the game's events and strategy.
Jellyfish Lamp
Lamp based on the contraction-propulsion motion of a jellyfish, made with bristol vellum and wood.
Ruben Box
A soundsystem based on Heinrich Ruben's standing wave demonstration, visualizing music with pulsing flames. Tested outdoors with a number of amused design students to great success.
