FLUENCY GAMES
Project LISTEN (Literacy Innovation that Speech Technology Enables) is a CMU research group working on the Reading Tutor, software that displays stories on a computer screen, and listens to children read aloud. I was asked to explore ways to visualize prosodic data and give feedback through game mechanics, for a new feature of the Reading Tutor which focuses on improving fluency in speech.
